In 2007, Món La Bassa was born from one woman’s infinite love for animals. Laia Galeano started rescuing those who had been abandoned, mistreated, or exploited—giving them a second chance at life.
Today, it has grown into something extraordinary: a sanctuary for nearly 500 animals and the only animal rescue in the world with its own school. At Escola Voladors, children grow up alongside the animals, learning compassion, respect, and what it truly means to coexist with nature.
But Món La Bassa is at a breaking point.
Every day, more animals arrive in need of rescue. Every day, the sanctuary fights to provide food, medical care, and safety for nearly 500 rescued animals.
